I’m a Glendale, AZ based photographer for the woman who values her memories. The mom in the thick of it. The one growing a whole human. The family who keeps saying they’ll do it next year. I’m here to document all of it. The real, the special, the completely unique-to-you moments that deserve to be held onto.
Being seen is already vulnerable. You don’t need a photographer who makes it harder. You need someone who shows up for you, guides you through it, and makes sure you walk away with something that feels like you.
That’s exactly what I’m here to do.
Becoming a mother brought up wounds I didn’t know existed, and I started healing myself because of motherhood.
About two years after having my daughter, severe health anxiety led me to therapy. And I had no idea just how much I had been carrying. Childhood experiences, coping mechanisms, and parts of myself I didn't even know existed.
My truest self was someone I had yet to meet.
Through healing, I started trusting myself, taking risks, and exploring things I'd been too afraid to try before.
That's how Shamari Visuals came to be.
Shamari combines my name, Sharom, and my daughter's name, Amariah. A reminder of the motherhood journey that pushed me to heal and the woman I was becoming. And Visuals represents my creativity beyond photography.
Motherhood also changed the way I see the moments I document. After years of photographing weddings, I've grown to appreciate the beauty in ordinary, everyday life.
I want to create art you can display and art you can remember with. Whether you're growing your family, welcoming a baby, building a business, or simply becoming a new version of yourself. I want to document the different chapters of your life, because every one of them deserves to be remembered.
Shamari Visuals is a reflection of that journey.
