Becoming a mother brought up wounds I didn’t know existed. It pushed me to heal and find parts of myself that had been lost for a long time. But what I didn’t expect was what healing would give back to me: a softness I had never known and a strength I didn’t know I was capable of.

Motherhood deepened the way I love, changed the way I see, and made me cherish the ordinary in a way I never had before. I wanted to build something that reflected that. A brand born not just from skill, but from lived experience.

From knowing what it feels like to be in the thick of motherhood and understanding how easy it is to let the seasons pass without ever pressing pause.

The name Shamari is a fusion of my name and my daughter’s:

Sharom + Amariah. It represents a shift.

A before and after.

I spent years documenting people’s most important days as a wedding photographer. Now I document the seasons of motherhood, the ones that feel endless while you’re in them and somehow impossible to remember once they’ve passed.

The last time they fall asleep on your chest. The last time you carry them without thinking twice. You don’t know those are the good old days until they’ve already passed.
