When Should You Take Pregnancy Announcement Photos?
There’s no perfect week to plan your announcement photos. The right time is whenever you feel ready to share the news.
If you already have a date in mind, I recommend reaching out a little early, especially if you’re planning around a family visit, holiday, or special trip. I can often accommodate sessions within a week or two, but having your date on the calendar means one less thing to think about.
And if maternity photos are on your list too, we can plan for those later, usually around 30–34 weeks, so you have both chapters documented without trying to fit everything into one session.

A pregnancy announcement session is about sharing the news. It’s usually a shorter, simpler session focused on the two of you, your growing family, or the people you’re surprising. Think: “We’re having a baby!”
A maternity session is about celebrating the pregnancy itself. It typically happens later, when your bump is more visible, and gives you more time to document this season before your baby arrives.
So if you want to announce the news now and celebrate your pregnancy later, you don’t have to choose. You can do bothone captures the moment you shared the news, and the other captures the season that followed.
Can we do this somewhere specific, like where we found out or got engaged?
Yes, that's usually the best version of these. Tell me the spot and we'll build the session around it.
Can we do this in a studio instead of outside?
Yes. Studio rental is available for an additional fee depending on which space you'd like to book. Mention it when you inquire and I'll help you pick one that fits your vision.
Can grandparents or siblings be there to find out live?
